Kudil Restaurant

We are located in a basement on Church Street, right in the center of Bangalore. It’s easy to miss us if you aren’t looking, but we are very close to the Metro Station. Being in a basement has its own vibe, it feels a bit tucked away from the madness of the street above. Church Street is one of those places that never really sleeps, but down here, it’s a bit more contained. We get a lot of people who work in the offices nearby or youngsters who are out for the evening. It’s a small space, so it can get crowded pretty fast during peak hours. We don’t have much room for fancy furniture, so it’s mostly just functional tables and chairs. The kitchen is right there, so you can usually smell whatever is being cooked as soon as you walk down the stairs. We serve regular food that people can eat every day. Nothing too complicated or expensive. The staff is just a few local guys who know the menu by heart. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, and sometimes it’s quiet, it just depends on the mood of the day. We’ve been here for a bit and have seen how much Church Street has changed with the new metro and the renovations. We just stay in our little corner and keep serving whoever comes down those steps for a meal.
