Kota Vijayalakshmi Kalyana Nilaya

Our place is over in Basavanagudi on Kartak Road. It’s a bit of an old neighborhood, and we are right near V V Bakery, which everyone around here knows. The address is 69 Sadashiv Wadi. We mostly host weddings and small family gatherings. It’s a big hall, nothing too complicated about it. We’ve had a lot of families come through these doors over the years. Some people come to us because their parents got married here too. We keep the floors swept and the lights working. It’s not a fancy modern convention center, but it works for what people need. Dealing with 560004 traffic can be a headache, but once you’re inside the gates, it’s alright. We don't have a big marketing department. We just answer the phone when people call to ask about dates. The kitchen area is basic but has enough space for the caterers to do their thing. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when there’s a big event, but that’s the nature of a kalyana nilaya. We try to help out where we can with the chairs and the setup. It’s a local business run by local people. We know the flower sellers nearby and the guys who rent out the sound systems. It’s just a honest place for people to get together and celebrate. We don't do much fancy stuff, just provide the space and let the families make their own memories there. The paint on the walls is a bit old, but it's clean.
