Kln Engineering Products Pvt. Ltd. at F-56 Industrial Estate Rajajinagar is just a spot in a big row of sheds. We get here early every morning. The machines need a lot of looking after and it is not a quiet place at all. There is always some clanging or someone shouting over the noise of a motor. We have been at this address for a long while now. The tea guy comes around at eleven and you see the same faces every day. It is mostly about getting the orders out and making sure the parts are right. Sometimes the power goes or a machine gets stuck, and then it is a long afternoon trying to fix things before the sun goes down. The floor is stained with oil and there is metal dust in the corners, but that is just how it is here. People find us because of the big sign outside. The road gets busy with lorries dropping off raw materials. We do not have fancy offices or anything like that. Just some desks in the corner and a lot of work on the shop floor. It is a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock piled up. You get used to the smell of grease and the heat under the roof. It is just us doing what we do every day in this part of Bangalore. We stay late most nights just to keep up with everything.
