This is just a small house thing. We started making chocolate in the kitchen back in Domlur. Now we are over in Bommanahalli at 4th Cross. It’s 139/1 if you are looking for the gate. It’s not a big factory. We just have a few big pots and some molds we bought years ago. My sister does most of the mixing. I do the wrapping. We use simple papers. Sometimes the edges aren't perfect but the taste is okay. People in the neighborhood know us. They come by for birthdays or just when they want something sweet after dinner. We don't have a website or anything. Just the phone and people knocking. The 4th Cross can get a bit crowded with parked cars. But you can find us. We make different flavors. Nutty ones are popular. We try to buy good cocoa when the price is right. It’s hard work standing all day. But we enjoy the smell of the kitchen. It’s a family business. My kids help with the labels on holidays. They eat more than they help though. We've been doing this for about six years now. It started as a hobby. Then neighbors started asking for more. So we just kept going. We don't want to be a huge company. Just keep it local. The weather in Bangalore is good for chocolate. Not too hot usually. If it gets hot, we have to use the fan more. We sell out fast during festivals. Diwali is the busiest. We barely sleep then. But it’s good to be busy.
