I started doing this music thing in Sadananda Nagar a few years back. I live in Village Daria at number 10, and that’s where I keep all my equipment. It’s not a big company or anything, just me and my sound system. I have these heavy speakers that I have to load into a small van every time someone has a function. Most of the time, it’s for a birthday party or maybe a small wedding in the village. I spend a lot of my time checking the wires and making sure the amplifiers don’t overheat in the summer. People around here know my name, so they just come by the house when they need music for an event. I don't have a fancy office. I usually just sit on the porch and talk to customers about what kind of songs they want to hear. Sometimes the electricity in the village is a bit shaky, so I always carry an extra stabilizer with me. It’s a lot of work carrying the gear up and down stairs, especially when the venue is just a rooftop. I try to keep my prices fair because everyone in Daria knows each other. I like seeing people dancing, even if I’m just standing behind the mixer all night. It gets tiring when the parties go late into the night, but it’s what I do. I keep my gear clean and ready for the next call whenever someone nearby needs a DJ.
