We operate out of the Khaleel Building at 288 Princess Street, which is right in the heart of Chickpet. The building itself is quite old and has the family name on it. I am Khaleel A R, and I’ve been working from this location for as long as I can remember. Princess Street is famous for being packed with shops and people, and our building is no different. It’s a busy place from the moment we open the doors in the morning. Inside, the rooms are filled with various items and paperwork that have accumulated over the years. We don't really have a clean, modern office vibe. It’s more of a lived-in space where work actually happens. The walls have some cracks and the floorboards creak when you walk on them, but it has character. We know all the other shop owners on this block, and we usually have a chat with them when the day starts to slow down. The traffic on Princess Street can be a nightmare, so we mostly just stay inside and get on with our tasks. We don't do any big advertising or have a fancy website. People just know where the Khaleel Building is and they find us when they need to. It’s a traditional way of doing business, based on being in the same spot for decades. We just take things one day at a time here and handle what needs to be done.
