Ketaki Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is over at A-8 in the Industrial Estate of Ambattur. This is a real working area, lots of noise from machines and the smell of cut metal in the air. Our place is a basic industrial unit. It’s not the kind of office where you wear a suit. Most of us are in boots and sturdy clothes because there’s always something being moved or fixed. The floor is concrete, and the ceiling is high, which helps keep it a bit cooler when the sun is beating down on the roof. We have a small office section partitioned off for the paperwork and computers, but the heart of the place is out on the floor. There’s usually a bit of clatter and the sound of tools being used throughout the day. We’ve been at A-8 for a long time now, so we know all the neighbors in the estate. We share a tea break around four o'clock, usually standing around outside the main door. It’s a straightforward life. We don’t have any fancy signs or glossy brochures. People know where we are if they need us. Ketaki Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is basically just a group of people who like working with their hands and getting things built. It's a bit loud and a bit messy, but it’s how we like to work. It’s just how we get things done here every day in Ambattur without much fuss.
