We’ve been here at Peenya Industrial Area for a while now. Most people find us over by 40/B-4C near Lokhandwala in Kandivali. It’s a busy spot but we like it. We mostly handle tooling stuff. The shop floor is usually noisy and there’s always grease on someone’s hands. It’s just how it goes when you’re making parts all day. We started small with just a couple of machines and we’ve added more as the years went by. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck is late, but we manage. People stop by to ask about bits and pieces for their projects. We aren't fancy. There's a small office where we keep the papers, but mostly we are out back working. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially under the tin roof. Our neighbor has a small tea stall and that’s where we go for breaks. We know the other guys in the area too. Most of us have been around for a long time. If you walk past the main gate you’ll see our sign, though it’s a bit faded from the sun now. We just focus on the work that needs doing. It’s hard work, but it keeps the lights on. Every day is pretty much the same, starting early and leaving when the jobs are finished. We don't have a big team, just a few guys who know their way around a lathe and don't mind getting dirty.
