Karnataka Hindu Military Hotel

We are up on the first floor here on Narsi Natha Street, right across from the BTS bus stand in Kengeri. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the buses are rolling in and out. People call it a military hotel, which mostly means we serve hearty food that fills you up. It’s not a big place, and sometimes you have to wait for a stool, but nobody seems to mind too much. We’ve been running this for a while now, and the routine is always the same. We start early, get the meat ready, and make sure the spices are right. You can hear the noise from the bus stand all day long, but inside it’s just the sound of plates and people talking. It’s mostly locals who come here, guys heading to work or travelers who just got off a long bus ride. The stairs coming up can be a bit steep, so you have to watch your step. We don’t have fancy menus or anything like that. We just tell you what we made today. It’s a bit hot in the kitchen, but that’s how it goes. If you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn't it, but the food is honest and we try to keep things moving. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, right here in Kengeri, day after day. It's a bit of a squeeze when it's raining, but we manage.
