Our facility for Karnataka Agro Chemicals Multiplex Fertilizers Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Survey No 3/3 in Nadavathi. It’s near Kadugodi, so it’s a bit of a drive for some. It’s a big name for a place that basically deals with dirt and nutrients. We have a lot of bags of fertilizer stacked up in the warehouse almost to the ceiling. The air always has that specific sharp smell of chemicals and earth. It’s a busy site with tractors and trucks coming in and out from the local farms. We spend a lot of time checking the mixes to make sure they are right. The equipment we use is old but it still does the job every day. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls here. It’s mostly just charts and safety signs. The staff here mostly comes from the nearby villages. We know each other well and there isn't much formality in the way we talk. The sun beats down on the corrugated metal roof during the middle of the day, making it pretty warm inside. We usually start early in the morning when it’s still cool. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy bags around. We don’t have a fancy corporate office with air conditioning. We just have a small space where we keep the books and take our lunch. It’s a straightforward business. We make the fertilizers that people need for their crops. There isn't much more to it.
