Kanaga Engineering Industies

Kanaga Engineering Industies operates out of the J C Industrial Estate in Sector 20. Specifically, we are at number 19, over in the Panchkula area near Chandigarh. It’s a proper industrial zone, so there’s always the sound of machines and trucks moving about. Our shop is where we do the actual work—machining parts and handling engineering repairs. It’s a greasy environment with the smell of cutting oil and metal shavings everywhere. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small crew of us who know how to handle the lathes and drills. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we’ve seen shops around us come and go. We stay busy because we don't mind taking on the smaller jobs that the big firms won't touch. Sometimes a piece of equipment breaks down and we have to spend half the night fixing it so we don't fall behind on a deadline. It’s not an easy life, but there’s a certain satisfaction in making something with your hands. We don't have a front office with a water cooler or a lobby. You just walk into the workshop and find us. We talk straight and don't use a lot of technical jargon if we can help it. We just want to do the job right and move on to the next one. It’s how we’ve always operated since the day we opened up shop here.
