If you find yourself in Jayanagar 6th Block, you might come across us on Dhayari Road at number 17. We go by Kamdhenu Confectionery Products. This isn't a large factory or anything; it’s just a local shop where we make various sweets and savory snacks. The smell of ghee and sugar is usually hanging in the air around our entrance. We have a few people working in the back kitchen who have been with us for a long time. They know the recipes by heart and don't really need to measure things out anymore. I usually stay out front and talk to the people who come in to buy a half-kilo of this or that. We have glass cases to show what we made today, but they usually get foggy when the snacks are still warm. Jayanagar is a nice place to have a business because people appreciate good food here. We don't spend money on advertising because the word of mouth from the neighbors is usually enough to keep us busy. Sometimes we have a bit of a mess on the counter when it’s the festival season and everyone is in a hurry. We just wipe it down and keep going. It’s a family atmosphere, and even the regular delivery drivers stop for a quick bite before they head back out. It is just how things have been for years.
