Kalpesh Tube (India)

Our shop is at 34 Neela Sadan on Carpenter Street. It is a very busy area with lots of noise and people moving around all day. We deal with all kinds of tubes and metal pipes. My father started this place a long time ago and I took it over after I finished school. It is not a fancy place at all. The walls could use some paint and the floor is always a bit dusty from the inventory. We have stacks of metal everywhere, sometimes it is hard to walk through the back room. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us here who know where everything is kept. If you need a specific size, we usually have to go digging for it. People come to us because we have been here forever and we don't try to be something we aren't. We don't have a website or any social media stuff. If you want to talk, you just come to the shop or call the old landline. Sometimes the traffic on the street is so bad that the delivery trucks can't get close. We just carry things by hand then. It’s hard work but it’s what we know. We close up when the sun goes down and go home. We are just a small part of this neighborhood. No corporate talk here, just pipes and honest daily work for our customers.
