Jesus Engineering Works

I’ve been running Jesus Engineering Works for a good while now here in Cottonpet. Gayathri Nagar is where we mostly do our things, right at number 16. It is a noisy place sometimes because we have machines going on most of the day. People come by when they have something broken or if they need a specific part made out of steel or iron. Most of my time is spent on the shop floor with the guys, getting grease on our hands and making sure the measurements are right. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk in the corner with a lot of papers and old ledgers. It gets dusty, but that’s how it is in engineering. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to keep track of what is happening. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. The neighbors know us well by now. We don't do much advertising because folks around here just walk in when they need help with a weld or a lathe job. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but it feels okay to see a finished piece of metal go out the door. We usually close up when the sun goes down, unless there is a rush job that needs finishing by morning. That happens more than I’d like, honestly.
