Antek Engineering Works

Antek Engineering Works is situated in Jalahalli Village, specifically inside the Soumya Compound at No. 69/5. We are very close to the Sharada Temple; you can usually hear the bells from there in the mornings when they start the prayers. Our workshop is a bit tucked away, but once you find the compound, we are right there. We do a lot of metalwork and machining. There’s always the sound of cutting or welding going on throughout the day. It’s a small team of us, mostly people who have been doing this kind of manual work for years. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and it smells like oil and iron. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most of our customers are just other local businesses or people from the neighborhood who need something fixed or fabricated. We have a few old machines that still work better than the new ones we tried out. It gets pretty hot inside the shed during the middle of the day, so we take our breaks then and sit in the shade. We just try to make things that last. It’s a simple life, working with our hands and making sure the dimensions are right on whatever piece of equipment we are building. We’ve stayed in Jalahalli because it’s where we started and we like the community here around the temple. It's a busy little corner of the village and we feel at home here. The neighbors are good people too.
