Invensys Engineers

Invensys Engineers is situated at 160, 6th Cross, 9th Main in Basavanagar. We’re right near the Shanth Vidhalaya school. During the day, you can hear the kids playing during their break, which is a nice change from the sound of our own tools. Our office and workshop area is pretty simple. There are some drafting tables for the planning stages and then a workspace for the actual building part of the jobs. It’s a bit of a mix of paperwork and dirty hands. Basavanagar is a decent neighborhood, and being on the 6th Cross means we’re a bit away from the heaviest traffic on the main roads. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and system designs. Some days we are stuck at the desks for hours, and other days we are out on-site or tinkering with a prototype. The lighting in our place is a bit old, and one of the bulbs always flickers, but we haven't gotten around to replacing the ballast yet. A small team like ours means everyone does a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to talking to vendors. A big corporate culture isn't really our thing. We just come in, do the engineering work that needs doing, and try to get home in time for dinner. It’s a quiet, productive life at 160, 9th Main, and we’ve grown quite fond of this little corner of the city.
