It is a practical workspace, filled with material samples, fabric swatches, and plenty of blueprints. We aren't interested in being a polished corporate firm. We prefer the hands-on approach where we can actually touch the materials and see how they look in the light. H.B.R Layout is a nice place to work because it’s not as chaotic as the very center of the city, though the traffic on the main roads can still be a bit much. We spend our days designing rooms and buildings, trying to make sure everything fits together the way it should. It’s a lot of sitting at the computer and then standing up to look at a physical layout on the floor. We don't have any scripted speeches or fancy brochures. We just show the work we’ve done and talk about what needs to happen next. It’s a simple way of doing business, and it works for us. If you’re around 17th A Main, you’ll see our place easily enough. We keep things pretty relaxed here while we are working on our latest designs. It gets a bit messy but that is normal.
