Imagine Glass Designs

Our shop is on Railway Parallel Road, right in the Canara Bank Layout area. If you know where Vivekananda School is, we are just across from there. Working with glass is a noisy business most days. You hear the scoring and the snapping of sheets all the time. There is always a layer of fine dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. We have been here for a while, handling different kinds of glass work for people in the neighborhood and beyond. Sometimes it’s a simple window pane and other times it’s something much heavier or more complicated. We have racks of glass leaning against the walls and crates stacked up near the entrance. It’s not a showroom where everything is polished; it’s a place where we actually cut and fit things. The traffic on the parallel road can be a lot, especially when we are trying to load finished pieces onto the trucks. You have to be careful with every move because glass doesn't give you a second chance if you drop it. We just focus on the task at hand. People come in with their measurements on scraps of paper, and we do our best to match what they need. It’s simple, physical work. We keep the doors open to let the air in, and we just keep at it until the sun goes down.
