I H B Distributors is based out of JP Nagar, specifically at 27 Gopi Estate, State 29. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. The estate is a mix of different businesses, so there’s always trucks and people moving around. Our spot is basically a warehouse with a small area for us to sit and handle the paperwork. It gets cold in the mornings during the winter, so we usually have a heater running near the desks. We deal with a lot of boxes and crates, so the floor is always covered in scuff marks. It’s not the kind of place you’d bring a camera for a photoshoot, but it works for what we do. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which is pretty much the most important piece of equipment we own. JP Nagar is a good area, though the roads can be a mess when it rains. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but sometimes things just take time. There are no fancy titles here; we all just pitch in when a shipment arrives. We’ve been at Gopi Estate for years and know most of the other folks working in the nearby units. It’s just a steady, working-class kind of place. We leave the main lights off if we're just doing small tasks to save a bit on the bill.
