At Hm Industries, we’ve been working out of our place at No. 51 on 9th Cross in the 6th Block of Rajajinagar for quite some time. Rajajinagar is a mix of houses and small industries, so it feels a bit more like a community than a cold business park. Our unit is one of those places where you can hear the machines running from the street. It’s not a huge factory, just a decent-sized workshop where we get things done. We have a small crew of people who know how to handle the equipment, and we don't really have a separate office for the bosses. Everyone is usually out on the floor at some point during the day. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where everything is even in the dark. We don't go in for big mission statements or anything like that. Our goal is just to finish the work that’s on the table so we can go home to our families in the evening. There’s a lot of grease and noise, and the floors are never perfectly clean, but that’s because we’re actually making things. When customers come by, they usually just walk straight into the work area to find us. We don't have a receptionist to greet you, just the sound of work being done. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere and we like it that way. We've been here long enough that we know all the local tea vendors by name and they know exactly how we like our morning brew.
