Hemas Confectionary

Hemas Confectionary is tucked away in Amruth Nagar. It is a small shop, and if you aren't looking for it, you might walk right past. We have a few shelves filled with jars of snacks and some trays for the fresh items we get in. The space is tight, so we have to be careful when we are moving around behind the counter. Most of the people who come in live just down the street. We know most of their names and what they usually like to buy on a Friday evening. The morning starts with unloading crates and making sure everything looks decent for the day. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It is just a plain shop with a door that squeaks a little when you open it. Amruth Nagar is a quiet place for the most part, and we like being part of that quiet. We spend our time chatting with the neighbors while we wrap up their orders in old newspaper or small plastic bags. There is usually a radio playing softly in the corner, but mostly you just hear the sounds of the street. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a place where you can get something sweet or a savory snack without any fuss. We close up when the sun goes down and start it all over again the next day. It is a steady way to live and work.
