Heena Engineers

Heena Engineers is located at #15, Sy. No. 112/2, on the 12th Cross of the Doddanna Industrial Estate in Peenya 2nd Stage. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and the noise from the other workshops nearby. Our shop is just one of many in this row, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us by now. The inside of the building is mostly filled with the sound of cutting and grinding metal. We have several machines that stay busy from early morning until late in the evening. There is usually a layer of iron dust on the floor by noon, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. The office is just a tiny room with a couple of chairs and a lot of old ledgers and files stacked up on the shelves. We don’t have a big sign or anything fancy out front. Most people just find us by the address or by asking around. Our staff is a small group of guys who live nearby and have been working with lathes and drills since they were young. We spend the day working through the pile of orders, making sure the measurements are okay and that the parts are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up. It is loud and hot work, especially in the summer months, but we just get on with it.
