Harihanth Impex is right in the middle of Chickpet, which is always a chaotic place to be. We are on the 1st floor of the Mangaldeep Market, located on T N City Lane. If you’ve ever been to Chickpet, you know the lanes are so thin that two people can barely walk past each other. Our shop number is 41339. Getting up to the first floor involves climbing some narrow stairs that are usually blocked by bags of goods waiting to be moved. The market is loud with people shouting and carts rattling over the uneven floors. Inside our space, there isn't much room to move around because of all the stock we keep. Everything is piled up in boxes and plastic wraps. We have a small desk where we do all the billing and phone calls. The air smells like new fabric and old paper. Sometimes the overhead lights buzz, which can get annoying after a few hours. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small board with the name. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to this lane for years and know exactly where to turn. It is a hot and cramped environment, but that is just how business works in this part of the city. We open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It is a simple operation with no frills, just honest work every day behind those heavy doors.
