Handloom Silk House

Handloom Silk House is located at 188, right near the Sharma Complex in Chickpet. It is one of those areas where you really have to watch your step because the pavement is uneven and there are people everywhere. We have been working out of this space for a while now, and it is pretty much what you would expect from a local spot. The shelves are packed tight and we try our best to keep everything organized, even when it gets busy. Being near the complex means there is always a lot of activity right outside our door. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to raise our voices just to talk to each other. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the shop is ready for whoever walks in. The air feels a bit heavy in the summer, and the fans overhead just move the heat around, but we just get on with it. Every morning we sweep the front and check the stock. It is a lot of manual work and standing on our feet, but that is the nature of the business in this part of town. We are just a local operation trying to keep things simple and honest. No bells and whistles, just a shop in a busy market lane that does what it says on the door. We usually take a break in the late afternoon for some tea.
