H K G N Engineering

H K G N Engineering is based at 237/6 Bommanahalli in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad. It gets incredibly hot in our workshop during the summer months, and we only have a couple of old fans to move the air around. We are located near Prasanth Hospital and Reddy Pumps. The machines we use for our work are quite old, but they still do the job just fine. There is usually a bit of oil on the floor, even though we try to clean it up every evening. Most of our time is spent on metalwork and fixing parts for other businesses in the city. The sound of the lathes and grinders is very loud, so you have to speak up to be heard. My work clothes are permanently stained with grease and metal shavings. We do not have an office with air conditioning or a fancy waiting area for visitors. Most people just stand by the door and talk to us while we work. We take a quick lunch break sitting on stools near the entrance before getting back to the machines. We do not have a website or do any social media. If someone needs something fixed, they just show up at the shop. Sometimes we have to spend half the morning fixing one of our own tools before we can even start on a customer's order. That is just how the engineering business goes for us.
