Grips Gokarting

Grips Gokarting is located on Hosahalli Main Road, out in S Block of the M I D C area. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but once you arrive, you’ll hear the engines before you see the track. We spend our days out in the heat, mostly. The smell of petrol and burnt rubber is just part of the atmosphere here. The track isn't perfect; it has its bumps and the paint on the tires we use as barriers is fading, but it’s a real place for people who like to drive. We spend a lot of time maintaining the karts, tightening bolts and checking the oil. The M I D C area is very industrial, so there are a lot of trucks and big buildings around us. It’s not the prettiest part of the city, but it gives us the space we need. When the sun goes down, we turn on the big lights, and the whole place looks different. It’s a lot of noise and a lot of dust, and my clothes usually end up smelling like grease by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy lounge or anything, just some benches where people can sit while they wait for their turn. It’s a practical setup for a practical hobby. We just keep the karts running and the gate open for anyone who wants to come by and spend some time on the track.
