You can find us on Bel Main Road, right opposite where the old ING Visya Bank used to be. We are at number 33. Gopal Krishna Enterprises has been operating out of this same spot for quite some time now. The street is always loud with buses and trucks going by, but inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter. We have shelves packed with all sorts of supplies. It is a bit disorganized if I’m honest, but there is a system to it that only we understand. The desk in the front is where I spend most of my day, usually with a cup of tea that’s gone cold. Mazagaon is a hardworking area and we try to match that energy. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just try to provide what people are looking for when they walk through the door. Sometimes the inventory takes up so much space that we barely have room to move around. The lighting isn't the best in the back, so we use a torch sometimes to find specific items. Most of our customers are regulars who live nearby or work in the area. They know we are here and what we do. It’s a straightforward business. No bells or whistles, just the usual daily grind. We keep the books by hand mostly because it feels more reliable. It’s just how we’ve always done things here and we don't plan on moving.
