Amar Watch House

We have been here at J C Road for a good while now, right next to Sharada Talkies. It gets quite loud when a movie lets out, but we are used to that noise by now. My father started this place decades ago and I just kept it going because it’s what I know. We mostly deal with watches that stopped working or need a new battery or strap. It is a small shop, number eight, and the shelves are always a bit crowded with boxes and old parts that I might need someday. Sometimes people come in just to ask for the time because they saw the sign outside. We don’t mind at all. The counter is usually covered in tiny screws and tools. It’s a bit messy but I know where everything is kept. OTC Road stays busy all day with traffic and people walking to the theatre. We see all kinds of watches, from the old wind-up ones to the newer digital ones that look like little computers. Most days it is just me sitting behind the glass, looking through a magnifying lens at tiny gears. It takes a lot of patience to fix these things. People come by after work to pick up their repairs. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. Just a simple place to get your watch looked at. If you are near the talkies, you will see our shop easily. We try to finish the work quickly so people can get on with their day. It’s honest work and it keeps the neighborhood running on time.
