Amar Straps

Amar Straps is situated at No.14 in Chickpet, right on PS Lane. PS Lane is one of those very narrow paths where two people can barely walk side by side if someone is carrying a heavy box. Our shop is small and smells strongly of leather and glue. We have rolls of material stacked up against the walls and boxes of buckles under the counter. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get a delivery. Most of our work involves cutting and stitching, so there are always scraps of leather on the floor that we have to sweep up at the end of every day. The ceiling fan is old and makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving. We don't get much natural light back here, so we have these bright fluorescent bulbs that we leave on all day. It is a busy little spot, and we are usually too busy to notice the time passing. We see a lot of familiar faces because we have been in this lane for years. We are not trying to be the biggest shop in the market; we just want to do our work well and keep our regulars happy. It is a lot of handwork and sitting on low stools, but it is what we know and we do it every day.
