Ambay Novelty Store

Our place, Ambay Novelty Store, is located at 1823 in Sector 48 C, over in Jagatpur, which is part of Jayanagar 9th Block. It’s a nice, settled part of town and we’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the furniture. We keep a lot of different novelty items in stock, the kind of things people look for when they need a small gift or something for the house. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes. Jayanagar 9th Block is a great place to be because there are always people walking around, especially in the cooler parts of the day. We don't have any flashy signs or big marketing campaigns to bring people in. Usually, it’s just folks from the neighborhood who know we’re here. The store has a bit of a lived-in feel to it, and we don't mind that at all. We spend our time checking the inventory and chatting with whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the street gets a bit noisy with scooters passing by, but inside it’s usually quite peaceful. We keep a ledger for our accounts and don't use any fancy software for that. It’s a simple way to run things, and it suits us just fine. We open up in the morning and stay until things quiet down in the evening. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to be helpful to the neighborhood.
