Our office is located at 2 Gb Gayathri Apartments, right in the Palace Gardens area on Palace Cross Road. It’s a pretty nice part of Bangalore, with a lot of greenery and some old-school charm. Being in Gayathri Apartments means we have a bit more peace than the offices in the city center. We occupy a ground-floor space where we manage various aspects of Godrej Boyce Mfg Co Ltd’s manufacturing interests. It’s not a high-tech facility with glass walls; it’s just a solid, functional office with some desks and a lot of storage for documents. We spend the day coordinating with suppliers and checking on production numbers. The team here is small, so everyone knows exactly what needs to be done without someone having to tell them every five minutes. We don't have a lot of corporate rules about how to talk or dress; we just focus on being practical. Sometimes we have tea out on the small veranda if the weather is nice, which it often is in this part of town. We are basically just a group of people making sure the manufacturing side of the business stays on track from this specific Bangalore location. No one is trying to be a superstar; we just want the paperwork to be correct and the shipments to be on time. It’s a straightforward way to work, and it suits the neighborhood perfectly for everyone involved.
