Up on the 1st floor at 385 Jayanagar, you will find our office. It’s a decent enough spot for Global Engineers (India) Pvt Ltd. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying heavy things, but we’re used to it by now. Jayanagar is a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street below coming through the windows. We spend a lot of our time looking at drawings and making sure the math adds up. It isn't particularly glamorous work, but someone has to do it. The desks are usually covered in papers and old pens that barely work. We try to keep it somewhat tidy, but when things get busy, that goes out the window. Most of us have lived around here for years, so the commute isn't too bad for the staff. We don't have a big reception area or anyone in a suit waiting at the door. You just walk in and talk to whoever is nearest the front. We have some old filing cabinets that have been here since the start. They squeak when you open them, but they still hold the folders just fine. It’s a practical setup for the kind of engineering work we handle. On Fridays, we usually wrap up a bit earlier if the work allows it. Jayanagar is a nice place for a walk after we lock up the shutters. We don't have a big corporate story to tell, just a bunch of people doing engineering work.
