Genius Events

We've been at Madivala 23/45 for a while now. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes finding parking is a total headache for us and the people who come by to talk about their events. Genius Events isn't some giant corporation with fancy glass walls. It's just a few of us sitting around desks, drinking too much tea, and trying to figure out how to make a stage fit into a small backyard or where to find a specific type of flower that isn't in season. We spend a lot of time on our phones, calling vendors and making sure the chairs arrive on time. Most days, the office is a bit messy with flyers and samples scattered around, but that’s just how we work. People in the neighborhood know us as the guys who are always moving stuff in and out of the van. We don't have a big speech about what we do. We just help out with whatever party or gathering someone has planned. Sometimes it's a small birthday, other times it's a bigger thing, but the work is mostly the same. We like living and working here in Madivala. It's loud, it's crowded, but it feels like home. If you walk past 23/45, you'll probably see one of us outside talking to a delivery driver or checking a list. We just keep things moving and try not to get too stressed when things get hectic. That's pretty much it.
