People around Jayanagar probably know our spot near the Ganesh Temple in Gandhi Bazaar. We’ve been at 665 for quite some time now. Since it's not a very big place, it's just a standard engineering shop where we get things done. Most of our day is spent working with the machines and making sure the parts fit right. The street outside can get pretty crowded, especially when there is a festival at the temple. We just keep the doors open and carry on regardless. A fancy reception area or a professional phone manner is not something we have here. Usually, someone wiped with grease just comes over to see what you need. It gets noisy with the grinding and the metalwork. However, that is just how an engineering shop is supposed to be. Taking a break for tea happens when the sun gets too hot in the afternoon. People bring in all sorts of broken things or sketches on paper, and we try to figure out how to make it work. It is simple work, really. Big computers are not used for everything; it's mostly just our hands and the old machines we have kept running over the years. If you are walking past the temple, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. Our team is just a local bunch trying to do a decent job for the folks around here.
