General Engineering Works

General Engineering Works is situated at number 2 on Banaswadi Sampige Road. We are a traditional workshop where we handle all kinds of metal and mechanical jobs. We have been here for years, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. We have old lathes and welding equipment that we use every day. If you have a broken piece of machinery or need a custom metal part made, this is where we do it. It is a messy place with metal shavings on the floor and oil on the benches. We do not try to look like a modern engineering firm with computers everywhere. We rely more on our hands and the experience we have gained over the decades. Sometimes people bring us things that they think are beyond repair, and we do our best to weld them back together or fabricate a replacement. We do not have a mission statement or any corporate goals. We just want to get the job done right so the customer can get back to their own work. Banaswadi is a busy area, and we get a lot of walk-in customers from the nearby shops. We like the sound of the hammer on metal and the spark of the welder. It is honest work that requires a lot of patience. We are usually here from early morning until late evening, making sure the orders are finished and the machines are ready for the next day.
