General Engineering Service

General Engineering Service has its workshop at 61 Victoria Layout, specifically on the 6th Cross. It’s a solid location that has served us well over the years. The workshop is usually filled with the sound of machines and the smell of metal and oil. It isn't a place for someone who wants to keep their hands clean. We spend most of our hours here, from early morning until the sun goes down. Victoria Layout is a nice area, and being on the 6th Cross means we are a bit away from the heaviest traffic. We have a lot of regular people who come to us because they know we don't mess around. We give a fair price and we do the work as fast as we can without rushing the important bits. The shop floor is usually covered in scrap metal and tools, but that’s just a sign that we are busy. We don't have a fancy lobby for people to wait in. Usually, customers just stand by the workbench and talk to us while we work. It’s more personal that way. We don’t have a big HR department or a marketing team. We are just a bunch of guys who know how to fix things and build things. It’s a simple business model, but it works for us and our neighbors. We just keep our tools sharp and our heads down, making sure we stay on top of the schedule.
