Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd

Located at 29/2 on Kengalhanumanthaiah Road, which most people just call Double Road, our office is right in the thick of things. It’s a big road with a lot of fast cars and buses going by all day. Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd has been operating from this spot for quite some time. The office is a bit more formal than a small shop, but it’s still just a place where we sit and answer questions. We deal with a lot of people asking about the mountains and the tours up north. The furniture is the sturdy kind you find in older offices, and we have plenty of files stored away in metal cabinets. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, so we spend a good amount of time dusting off the desks. The staff here has been around for a while, and we usually know the answers to most questions without having to look at a book. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the computers to load the latest information. It’s not the most exciting place to look at, but we have all the info people need. We don't bother with fancy slogans or anything. We just come in, open the files, and help the people who walk through the door looking for a trip. The bells from the temple nearby ring in the evenings and that is usually our sign that it is nearly time to head home for the day.
