G. Ratna Jewellers

G. Ratna Jewellers is a small shop at number 343 on Narayana Pillai Street. We are in Shivaji Nagar, right on Burugal Mutt Road. If you know where the Tamana Showroom is located, we are right next to it. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve got our counters and displays set up to show what we have in stock. We mostly deal with gold and silver pieces, things people wear for weddings or give as gifts to their families. It’s been our family's work for a long time now. The street outside is usually crowded with shoppers and bikes, so it stays pretty noisy until late in the evening. We spend our days talking to neighbors and regular customers who have been coming to us for many years. Sometimes we do repairs on old jewelry that someone’s grandmother used to wear long ago. It’s delicate work and requires a lot of patience and a steady hand. We don't have fancy security guards in suits, just the usual metal shutters and a strong safe in the back. It’s a very local feel here, and we like it that way. We know most of the other shopkeepers on this block. People come in to check the gold prices or just to see what’s new in the display case today. We don't try to push people into buying things they don't need. We just show them what we have and let them decide. It’s an honest living.
