Funky Events

Funky Events is located at No.300 on Thimmayya Road in Shivaji Nagar. If you know the area, we are quite close to HBS Hospital. Working in Bangalore means you spend half your life in traffic, and since we do events, we are always moving stuff around in vans. It is a bit of a squeeze getting through the lanes here sometimes. Our office is more like a storage space filled with all sorts of random things—lights, backdrops, pieces of decor, and boxes of cables. It looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time on our feet. One day we are setting up a small birthday party and the next we might be helping with something much larger. Shivaji Nagar is always buzzing, and the noise from the street usually drifts into our workspace. We aren't the type of people who sit behind desks all day. We’d rather be out at a venue fixing a curtain that’s falling down or making sure the sound is working right. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy crates and staying up late to finish a setup. We usually grab lunch from one of the small hotels nearby. It’s just a group of us trying to make these events happen without too much trouble. It is a bit chaotic but we like the energy of it.
