Foodies

Our little place, Foodies, is located at No.39/7 on the 6th Main in Appareddu Palya. We are right opposite Dr. Ambedkar College, so we see a lot of students and staff coming and going all day. Indiranagar is a fast-paced area, but our specific street feels a bit more like a neighborhood. We’ve been here for a bit, and the rhythm of the college basically dictates our day. When the bells ring or classes let out, the energy on the street changes. In the kitchen, we keep things pretty basic. We don't use any fancy equipment, just the standard stoves and big pans. We spend our mornings prep-cooking, mostly chopping vegetables and getting the masalas ready. It’s a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything—washing, cooking, and answering the phone. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. The space can get a bit cramped when we have a big order, but we’ve learned how to move around each other without bumping into things. We focus on simple meals that people can eat every day without getting tired of them. It’s hard work and the floor is usually wet from cleaning, but we like being right here in the mix of things. We don't do much in terms of promotion; the location does most of that for us. It’s just a regular day-to-day business where we try to keep our heads down and cook.
