First American India

First American India is situated on the first floor of the building within the International Tech Park in Doddanekkundi. This is a much bigger setup than some of the small shops in the city center. The tech park is full of glass buildings and paved walkways, which is a different world compared to places like Chickpet or Gandhi Bazaar. We spend our days in a large, air-conditioned office space. There are lots of rows of desks and people working on computers all day long. Even though it is a big place, the feel inside our specific area is just people doing their jobs. We have a cafeteria downstairs and security guards at the gates. It is very organized and clean. My commute to Doddanekkundi can be quite long because of the traffic on the outer ring road, but once I am inside the park, it is fairly calm. We don't really deal with walk-in customers here since most of our work is done through the computer systems. There are plenty of meetings and emails to get through every day. The office has big windows, but mostly we are just looking at our screens to get the work finished. We take our breaks in the common areas with workers from all the other companies in the park. It is a modern way of working, I suppose, but we just try to keep our heads down and get the tasks done before heading home.
