About Exodus Music School – Education in Bengaluru
We are over at Jalahalli West, right near the Mahalaxmi Panch Rasta. It is the second building by the intersection. Being a music school, there is always some kind of noise coming from our rooms. Whether it is someone trying to learn a basic chord on the guitar or a kid hitting the drums for the first time, it is rarely quiet here. The building isn't anything special to look at. The rooms are small and the walls are a bit thin, so you can often hear the piano practice from the hallway. We do not have high-tech soundproofing or anything fancy like that. It is just a place for people who want to play music. We spend a lot of time tuning instruments and looking for lost sheet music under the chairs. The Panch Rasta area is always busy with traffic, so we hear the constant honking outside too. It is not a polished conservatory. It is more of a place where neighbors come to learn a hobby. The instructors are just regular people who happen to be good at music. We have old chairs and some posters on the walls that are peeling a bit at the edges. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just play acoustic stuff until the lights come back. We do not have a big mission statement. We just show people where to put their fingers on the strings. It is a bit messy and loud, but it is a good place.
