Durbar

Durbar is tucked away on Mari Matas Lane 26/1 in Malleshwaram. It’s one of those narrow lanes where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The building is old, and it has some quirks, like the door that sticks when it rains. We don't mind it much. It’s home. During the day, it’s mostly quiet, just the sound of the ceiling fans and maybe some chatter from the street. When evening comes, the place fills up. We don't have a lot of space, so people end up sitting pretty close together. It makes for good conversation, even if you didn't know the person next to you when you walked in. Our staff has stayed the same for years. We know what people like without them having to ask. Sometimes we run out of things early, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s not a fancy setup. We have wooden tables that have seen better days and some old photos on the wall that have started to fade. Living and working in Malleshwaram has its own rhythm. We fit right into that. If you're looking for us, just head down 26/1 and look for the yellow light. We’re usually there until late, just making sure everything is shut down properly before we head home ourselves. It’s a simple life, but we like the people we meet every night.
