Do Re Mi School Of Music

If you walk down Mataji Market Road near Banneraghatta Road, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. We are tucked away in the market area at Road 7. It’s not the quietest place for a music school, but it works for us. We have kids and some adults coming in throughout the day to learn different instruments. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic with three different songs playing in different rooms at once. We started this place because we liked music and there wasn't much else around here for the local kids to do after school. The practice rooms aren't huge, and the walls aren't perfectly soundproofed, but the instruments are kept in good shape. We spend a lot of time tuning guitars and cleaning piano keys. It gets quite busy on the weekends when parents drop their children off while they go shopping in the market nearby. We don't have any big corporate backing or anything like that. It is just a small group of teachers who actually enjoy playing. Sometimes we have tea in the back when there’s a break between lessons. The floor is a bit worn out from all the feet moving around, and we keep the sheet music stacked on old shelves. It’s a simple place where people can come and just focus on the notes for an hour or two without any pressure. It keeps us busy and the neighborhood a bit louder.
