Dharanis Party Hall

We have this hall at 366 A in Shankaranagara. It’s right on 3rd Cross, Bhagat Singh Road, in the Canara Bank Colony. It’s a handy spot for people living around Sahakaranagara and Hebbal. The hall is just a plain room really, but it serves its purpose for whatever someone needs to host. We see a lot of local families coming through for small get-togethers. Sometimes it’s a quiet puja, other times it’s a louder birthday party with kids running around everywhere. We don’t provide much beyond the space and the basic furniture. It’s up to the people who rent it to make it look how they want. We’ve had people bring in all kinds of flowers and balloons to decorate. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice. We’ve lived in this part of Bangalore for a long time, so we know how it is. The hall has been here through many changes in the colony. It’s nothing fancy, just four walls and a roof where people can meet up and celebrate. We keep a schedule book and try to stay organized so there are no double bookings. Most of our business comes from word of mouth between neighbors. We just try to be helpful when someone is planning an event. It’s a small, local operation and that’s how we like to keep it. It's just a part of the neighborhood life.
