Devale Engineering Systems

Devale Engineering Systems is located out in the Kempachennauiah Industrial Estate. We’re at number 65/2. If you know Magadi Road, you know it’s a lot of trucks and industrial noise. Kamakshipalya is where we’ve set up shop. The workshop is usually louder than the office area. We’ve got machines running most of the day. There’s always that smell of metal and oil in the air. It’s an industrial estate, so we don't have fancy sidewalks or manicured lawns. Just concrete and gates. We started small and just stayed here because it works for the kind of engineering we do. Most of the staff has been here for years. They know the machines better than anyone. We spend our time working on designs or fixing parts that came off the line. It’s physical work. We wear work boots and get our hands dirty. The office part is just a small corner where we keep the computer and the billing books. We have tea breaks together near the main door where there's a bit of shade. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just part of life on Magadi Road. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the jobs done right so the parts don't come back. It’s a simple goal. We keep the floor as clean as you can expect for a machine shop. It gets busy, but we manage.
