Our office is on Lalbagh Road. It's a very busy street with lots of traffic and horn-honking all day long. Designer Core India Pvt Ltd is the name on the small brass plate outside the door, but inside it’s just a normal office like any other. We have a few rooms and a whole lot of files stacked up on the shelves. The location is good because everything you need is close by. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The building is one of those old ones with really high ceilings. It stays relatively cool even when it's burning hot outside. We don't have a big team at all. Just enough people to handle the work that comes in each week. Lalbagh Road is always crowded, so getting to work takes a bit of time in the morning. We usually have lunch together at the small place downstairs that sells decent meals. We do technical design work mostly. It requires a lot of concentration, so we try to keep the music low in the afternoons. Sometimes people drop in just to ask for directions to the park since we're right on the main road. We don't mind. We aren't a big fancy firm with glass walls or anything like that. Our desks are old wooden ones and a bit scratched up. We focus on the tiny details of the projects we get. There's always a lot of paperwork to deal with. We just take it one day at a time.
