Deccan Insurance Brokers

We are based over at the Indian Institute of Science area on Gowli Street. Specifically, Deccan Insurance Brokers is at number 27 in the Kalpavruksha building, Block M. It’s a pretty green part of the city which makes coming to work a bit nicer. We have been handling insurance stuff here for a long time. People come in confused about their policies and we sit down with them to sort through the fine print. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but it is important to the families we work with. The office is a bit crowded with filing cabinets and old ledgers. We tried going digital but some things are still easier on paper. Our desks are usually covered in forms and sticky notes. We don’t really have a marketing team or anything like that. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. The walk from the main gate of the institute is quite pleasant in the mornings. We take lunch breaks together and usually talk about anything except insurance. It’s a small, tight-knit group of us here. We try to be honest with people about what they need and what they don’t. Sometimes we have to tell them bad news, but that’s just part of the deal. We just stay focused on the tasks on our desks.
