Ddir Architecture Studio

Our studio is located right in Shanti Nagar. It’s an area most people in Bangalore know for being central but also having those quiet pockets. We spend most of our days sitting around a few big tables covered in rolls of paper and half-empty cups of tea. Sometimes the drawing gets messy, and there’s always someone looking for a ruler that went missing under a pile of blueprints. It isn’t a fancy place with shiny floors or anything like that. We just have what we need to get the work done. You can hear the traffic from the street outside when the windows are open, which they usually are. Most of the time, we are just sketching out ideas or trying to figure out why a particular corner of a building isn’t lining up right. We deal with contractors who call at odd hours and clients who sometimes have very specific ideas about where a window should go. It’s a lot of back and forth. We’ve been at this address for a while, and the neighbors know us. The walls are covered in old sketches that we never bothered to take down. It feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. We just show up, do the drawings, head out to the sites when needed, and try to keep things moving. It's a regular job with regular people just trying to build things that stay standing.
