Cumet Alloys

Cumet Alloys is located out in Bhosari, over in Sector 7. The exact spot is Plot No-195 in the PCNTDA area, near Byatayanapura Machinist Technologies. If you know Pune, you know Bhosari is all about the factories and workshops. Our place is at number 10, right in the middle of it. It’s one of those industrial sheds. It’s got high ceilings and those corrugated metal sheets that rattle when it rains hard. We deal with alloys and metal stuff, so there is always a bit of dust in the air. We have a small office section partitioned off with some plywood, but mostly it is just open floor space for the materials. The chairs are mismatched and the table in the break area is a bit wobbly. We don’t spend much time worrying about the furniture though. There is a lot of heavy stuff to move around, so we stay pretty active. The neighbors are other shops like ours, so it is a lot of mechanical noises throughout the day. We have a water cooler that everyone uses, and the local tea guy comes by twice a day. It is a gritty place, but it is where we get everything done. No one wears suits here. We just wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty. It’s a straightforward operation without any of that corporate polish. We just stay busy with the metal and the machines. Sometimes we work late if a delivery is coming.
